What you'll do

Our seasoned professionals are distinctive, leveraging their skills and experience to create measurable, improved outcomes for our clients. Our Turnaround and Restructuring (TRS) Vice Presidents join a team of AlixPartners professionals providing business, financial and strategic consulting advice to companies that are underperforming, or which require critical solutions to complex problems. In this interesting and challenging role, you will make an impact by helping clients effectively address their challenges and support organizational excellence in 'high stakes' situations.

The Turnaround and Restructuring (TRS) Vice President role is an experienced level position that supports our client engagement teams. Strong accounting and finance, data analysis and communication skills are required. Energetic, hardworking, creative and strong financial analysis and modeling skills are all characteristics of successful TRS Vice Presidents. In this vital role, you will join AlixPartners' highly recognized Turnaround and Restructuring team to work on the most critical restructuring and turnaround projects in the industry.

Preferred locations are New York City, Dallas, Houston, or Chicago. Paid relocation is not available.

What you'll need
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a professional services, including investment or commercial banking, consulting or corporate positions with a financial or accounting focus. Experience in the troubled company arena is desired but not required
  • An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems & Decision Sciences (ISDS), or Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Strong financial analysis and modeling skills. Solid understanding of financial statements and/or financial data management.
  • Experience working on complex work streams and projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word is required.
  • Track record of consistently delivering high-value work to meet client's needs.
  • Able to work independently. High energy style, flexible and adaptive, works well in a very fast paced environment.
  • Advance written and verbal communication skills, able to prepare well laid out, easily understood analysis and presentations.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Builds relationships with clients and peers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours, and in particular as unique projects/needs arise.
  • Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.

The salary range for this role takes into account a number of factors and is between $120,000/year - $200,000/year with potential eligibility for annual discretionary bonus.
