Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Project Manager III to plan and coordinate activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through peers/subordinate supervisors.

Location: In Office. Staunton, VA.

What you will do:
  • Review project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project and arrange for recruitment or assignments of project personnel as required/necessary
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plan and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
  • Coordinate project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies
  • Establish a professional relationship with the architects, contractors, and subcontractors and maintain accurate status reports and project reviews
  • Examine and review contracts and estimates by performing risk analysis and developing risk plans
  • Prepare project reports for management, clients, or others
  • Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
  • Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion
  • Responsible for the timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction
  • Create and revise project schedules including generating tasks, estimates, dependencies, milestones, project analysis
  • Communicate with stakeholders and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff
  • Responsible for change order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, and closing orders
  • Supports Operations teams throughout the New Product Introduction process to ensure clean handoff of projects from Engineering to Production
  • Confer with Operations teams throughout the NPI process to help address project concerns with the Engineering team
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required
  • Minimal travel required

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4-year bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years' experience in program management or related
