The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos is currently pursuing a new opportunity that has openings for an Integration Engineer to work in Multiple Locations. This is an exciting opportunity to use
your experience helping the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise Development, Application, and Training (EDAT) mission. In this mission we are focused on providing innovative, data-driven solutions and enterprise architecture enhancements to enable seamless operations across USSOCOM's global network. The program emphasizes rapid development and deployment of technologies to enhance the mobility and readiness of Special Operations Forces (SOF) in both combat and non-combat scenarios. Key tasks include program management, application development, training support, and technology integration to maintain USSOCOM's operational edge. The EDAT program underscores agility and adaptability, ensuring SOF professionals have access to the information and tools they need to meet evolving mission requirements.

These positions will be onsite. Candidates need to be located near Tampa, FL, San Diego, CA, or Fayetteville, NC to be considered.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead the integration of complex systems and applications across cloud-based, on-premise, and hybrid environments to ensure seamless functionality within the SOF Information Environment (SIE).
  • Develop, implement, and validate integration processes, ensuring compatibility between legacy and modern
  • systems, and across various enterprise architectures.
  • Design integration frameworks and workflows that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain system integration architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to align integration activities with program objectives and USSOCOM mission requirements.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders to understand operational needs, capture integration requirements, and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Develop and execute test plans to validate integration solutions, identifying and resolving technical issues during development and deployment phases.
  • Implement robust troubleshooting methodologies to resolve integration challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to operational activities.
  • Ensure integration processes comply with DoD standards, including NIST, DISA STIGs, and Zero Trust principles.
  • Implement secure data exchange mechanisms between systems, safeguarding classified and sensitive information.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve system performance and operational outcomes.
  • Proactively assess and refine integration processes to adapt to changing program requirements and technical landscapes.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in system integration, with demonstrated expertise in integrating complex enterprise systems. Additional training and years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Certified Integration Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or TOGAF Certification may be required.
  • Proficiency with integration tools and technologies, including APIs, middleware, and data exchange frameworks.
  • Must possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance.
  • Familiarity with DoD security policies and frameworks, including DISA STIGs and NIST standards.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Strong understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Security certifications, such as CISSP or CompTIA Security+
  • Experience integrating systems across diverse environments, including legacy and modern architectures.
  • Expertise in data integration and migration strategies, including ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with USSOCOM's operational environment, mission requirements, and the SOF Information Environment (SIE).
  • Prior experience supporting DoD programs, ensuring alignment with government security and operational standards.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement innovative integration solutions that enhance operational capabilities.
  • Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies related to system integration.
  • Strong communication skills to present complex integration concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align integration activities with organizational goals.

Pay Range: Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
