About the Opportunity:The Manager, People Systems & Analytics will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all aspects of People & Culture Systems, data, and reporting. This role will develop and enhance capabilities to utilize people data, leveraging insights to drive actions that enhance key business metrics that resonate with the Academy's mission and people strategy for equity and inclusion. Additionally, the role is responsible for developing and maintaining the HR metrics and People Analytics dashboards specifically targeted at providing people insights into the organization. This role will also supervise the PACT Operations Associate on reporting, compliance, and the day-to-day processing of colleague changes and forms across the employee lifecycle.

This position is based in San Francisco, California. This exempt, full-time position reports to the Chief People & Culture Officer. Staff are currently expected to work from the Academy offices at least 2-3 times per week, which may fluctuate based on business needs. Please do not apply if you are not able to work onsite. As Manager, People Systems & Analytics, you:
  • Are passionate about scaling initiatives, leveraging your comprehensive knowledge of People systems and analytics to support Academy endeavors, and streamlining processes for enhanced efficiency and user-friendliness
  • Approach challenges with a spirit of inquiry and collaborative problem-solving

PACT Systems
  • Primary Administrator of PACT systems and responsible for overseeing the overall data accuracy and data integrity of all PACT-related data in the employee life cycle processes
  • Lead system configurations, changes, ongoing maintenance, and make recommendations to improve and enhance Human Capital Management (HCM) and other PACT systems
  • Collaborate with key P&C team stakeholders and divisions to understand their challenges, frame opportunities, and design analytics or research solutions to address their needs
  • Serve as a Business Process Owner for PACT systems while assisting subject matter experts to ensure data integrity, testing system changes, report writing, and analyzing data flows for process improvement and opportunities
  • Create and develop project plans, training and process documentation for PACT systems and data projects and ensuring the smooth rollouts of any system implementations, upgrades, implementation, and rollout for PACT systems and analytics
  • Participate and lead testing efforts for all PACT system modules including the execution and documentation of test results
  • Providing technical support internally and engaging with external partners for technical-related issues
  • Continuously look for opportunities to optimize the self-service experience for end-users
  • Support periodic PACT processes with the PACT team, Finance and payroll, such as benefit changes, promotions, annual increase processes, and budget reporting
  • Responsible for processing and auditing employee mass updates and data imports into Dayforce (i.e. Annual Increases) and maintaining compensation data integrity across all PACT Systems
  • Responsible for the development of reporting and analytics capabilities to provide insights and data-driven recommendations that will help improve upon the employee experience, and support efforts to attract and retain a diverse workforce
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify and prioritize enterprise-wide people analytics that empower leaders to make informed, data-driven decisions and optimize their talent and support different initiatives as necessary
  • Responsible for developing custom reports and providing timely information and insights for management review from the data and dashboard
  • Create dashboards and scorecards that help track and report on business-critical measures, and identify patterns and trends that provide valuable insight across HR processes and programs
  • Responsible for compliance reporting, government reporting and overseeing e-Verify, and ensuring the I-9 process is kept up to date
  • Lead project processes for their team and coordinate data deliverables that cross multiple teams
  • Follow all Academy safety regulations
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Will manage, mentor and develop a People Operations Associate that handles the day to day employee life cycle processes, onboarding, general reporting, and transactions that impact payroll, compensation, benefits and leaves processing

Qualifications:

Experience and/or Education:
  • Undergraduate degree, preferred, SPHR, PHR or SHRM-SCP certification a plus
  • 5+ years of experience working in systems and data in a People & Culture department, with a strong focus on employee lifecycle data, PACT systems, reporting, and analytics, with one year of people supervision experience

Skills and Abilities:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of People & Culture processes, systems, and analytics to advise, troubleshoot and resolve system problems and provide recommendations
  • Equally comfortable to work independently and as part of a team, brings a strong equity lens that informs your decision-making
  • Advanced Excel skills such as macros, pivot tables, queries, interaction with SQL
  • Strong ability to communicate data and technical information at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective presentation skills and comfort with executive-ready summaries and presentations
  • Amazing attention to detail, and maturity to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Able to work in an open and collaborative environment, display sound judgment, including the ability to maintain total confidentiality concerning highly sensitive information and the ability to act with discretion
  • Ability to identify opportunities and challenges, adapting plans accordingly
  • Highly organized with a proactive sense of initiative and follow-through

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $114,000 - $124,000. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, skills/knowledge set, and internal equity. We believe in fair and equitable compensation practices and are committed to providing competitive salaries within the industry and market standards. The Academy offers a total compensation package that emphasizes both base salary and comprehensive benefits based on the hours per week worked.
