Change Management Director. We are looking for a passionate, results-oriented, and experienced team player to drive change management across the organization. Reporting directly to the SVP of Change Management, you will be responsible for implementing approved change management practices to achieve Company goals and strategy.
The Change Management Director will support continuous improvement efforts for internal projects, focusing on the people side of change, including business processes, systems and technology, job roles, and organizational structures. This individual entails strategically assessing, developing, and executing creative, multi-channel communications, resistance management, and reinforcement plans. The objective is to maximize employee adoption and usage, minimize resistance, and ensure alignment with the company's strategy.
The Change Management Director must be able to collaborate with cross-department leaders to succeed. In this role, they will coach senior leaders and executives to help them fulfill their role as change sponsors. Additionally, the Change Management Director may provide direct support and coaching to managers and supervisors at all levels as they assist their teams through transitions.
While this role may offer flexible work arrangements that can include a mix of in-office and remote work, our changing business needs will ultimately determine our level of remote-work flexibility. Additionally, to promote in-person collaboration and client teaming, we prioritize hiring those who reside within 50 miles of a Rincon office which currently includes: Carlsbad, Fresno, Los Angeles, Monterey, Oakland, Palm Springs, Riverside, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Barbara, and Ventura. Please note, this position is listed for the City of Ventura but we will consider the top qualified candidate, regardless of location.
Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities (utilizing and improving established company methodologies and philosophies for change)
- Work in alignment with company-wide communications efforts
- Train the organization on change management principles and manage the company's change portfolio
- Support change management at the organizational level by collaborating with change management practitioners across the business
- Lead key change management activities related to the most important imperatives of the company as required
- Evaluate and ensure user readiness
- Track and report issues through early escalation of issues to key stakeholders
- Assess change impact and conduct change impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders for initiatives
- Support and engage senior leaders; drive a common enterprise approach to change management across both external and internal projects (link and align internal and external change management approaches and people)
- Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics
- Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, and resistance management plan
This Job Might Be For You If You Have The Following:- A minimum of 5 years change management experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools, plus 8-10 years of practical business experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Organizational Change, Communications, or related field preferred
- Good understanding of the AEC industry
- ProsciĀ® certification or certification in a similar change management methodology (or willingness/ability to obtain) preferred
- Proven ability to lead and execute large-scale organizational change efforts
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent active listening skills
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
- Ability to influence and operate at multiple levels of the organization
- Ability to collaborate and lead through influence

The base salary range for this full-time position is $155,000-$165,000, plus a generous benefits program. At Rincon, our salary ranges are based on market median of similar jobs, according to third party salary benchmark surveys. The base pay that is actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
