Description

Front Office Sports Today (FOST) is our flagship daily show (podcast and video) launched in 2023. We are rethinking and relaunching the show with two in-studio co-hosts in New York.

We seek a highly motivated and organized on-camera talent who loves talking about the business of sports, is comfortable hosting and interviewing, and gets involved in the production, booking, and writing of the daily show. The show will tape in our Manhattan office five days a week, but will also travel a few times per year for live shows from major sports and cultural tentpoles.

This role will report directly to our Senior Producer and Editor in Chief.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for creating, writing, and delivering creative elements on-air, including attention-grabbing topics/issues for the show
  • Contact, book, and interview relevant guests
  • Research, prepare, and deliver content about current news and headlines
  • Provide commentary and conduct interviews during "Live" shows, and other events
  • Contribute appropriate, on-brand content for our digital platforms
  • Willingness to travel to events and broadcast on location
  • Act as host and/or make appearances at public or private events representing FOS.
  • Meaningfully contribute to the amplification and growth of the social by promoting across talent channels


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • 1-3 years of experience being on camera
  • Experience hosting, reading headlines, and interviewing, not just being interviewed
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn production tools including Prompter Pro, Riverside, Rundown Creator, etc.
  • Excellent public speaking skills and ability to interact with show listeners IRL and on digital platforms
  • Rolodex of contacts you can use to book guests for the show when appropriate
  • Willingness and ability to collaborate with colleagues from other departments like revenue, sponsorships, creative strategy
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and events
  • Enthusiastic, dedicated, and self-motivated
  • Great problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Availability to travel out of the city, state, and country
  • Must be willing to record and work from the office in New York City 5x/week
