Located in Parsippany, NJ, we have a bright, enthusiastic compensation, and payroll team for you to lead. Supporting our VP of People Partner for the US and Canada, your role joins the Human Resources leadership team and provides daily direction and coaching to the compensation and payroll team. We are the Wallenius Wilhelmsen group, delivering innovative and sustainable global shipping and logistics solutions for manufacturers of cars, trucks, heavy equipment, and specialized cargo.

Please note-This is a hybrid role based in Parsippany, NJ. You will be required to come into the office every Tuesday and Wednesday. ResponsibilitiesWHAT YOU'LL DO- Drive the planning, vision, compliance and development of competitive compensation programs including base salaries, incentive plans, job evaluations, annual bonus and merit increases.
- Collaborate with People Partners and business leaders by providing guidance on compensation recommendations, policy interpretations, and job evaluations.
- Participate in external compensation and trend surveys for relevant geographies.
- Advocate for and implement equitable compensation practices, promoting equity and fairness across the organization.
- Manage job evaluation process and salary increase guidelines.
- Lead compensation projects and initiatives, including annual review and incentive cycles for the US and Canada.
- Participate in external compensation and trend surveys for relevant geographies.
- Direct local needs for annual review process in partnership with Global Total Rewards team.
- Manages and ensures execution of the overall payroll strategy, focusing on continuous improvement, simplification, and automation.
- Works collaboratively with the Information Technology, Human Resources and Benefits departments to ensure the integrity of employee data is consistent with payroll system setup.
- Lead improvement initiatives to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Coach, mentor and provide leadership development to direct reports to optimize operational excellence and create a deeper bench of experienced talent.
- Develop and implement best practices, key performance indicators and create performance metrics for vendors.
QualificationsWHAT YOU'LL NEED- 10+ years of experience in broad-based compensation design, delivery, and administration in a complex organizational structure
- At least 5 years in a leadership and people management role.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or HR management or equivalent
- Previous experience and advanced knowledge of Payroll & HRIS systems ( Workday experience a plus)
- Previous work in a complex organizational structure
Strong data and analytical ability with advanced excel skills
