Responsibilities Leading a team whose primary responsibility is taking care of others is very important. Our nursing Managers are directly responsible for overseeing the daily operations and is intricately involved in the quality of patient care while assuring the delivery of individualized nursing care is given from each team member. What you'll do: - Leader of a 32 bed Telemetry and medical surgical Unit
- Oversees daily operations
- Oversees quality of patient care to assure delivery of individualized nursing care
- Oversees patient care delivery to maximize patient/family satisfaction and minimize risk of injury or negative outcomes to patients or employees while serving as a resource for staff
- Oversees staffing complement and budget management
- Coordinates orientation and/or training for team
- Responsible for driving patient care across the continuum through leadership of disciplinary care rounds and care management
Qualifications Requirements: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license that allows you to practice in our state
- BSN required from an accredited nursing program
- Minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Master's Degree and no experience
- Two years in charge or leadership position within last five years in a hospital setting. Five years recent nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- ACLS required within 6 months
- Specialty certification required within 6 months
- Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas
