Job Summary: The Manager - Operations, is responsible for leading a team of 8 Fleet Managers who support one of our Dedicated customers in eight markets. As the leader of this team, you will work to ensure the satisfaction and retention of drivers to create efficient and profitable utilization while delivering a high level of customer service. This manager will travel as needed to visit with our customer at their site locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Direct leadership and management of a staff of Fleet (Operation) team members.
- Provide daily direction and coaching to Fleet Managers to continue to improve driver retention and customer satisfaction.
- Drive change through data and implementing processes to improve the customer experience.
- Develop relationships with drivers to improve performance and encourage retention.
- Act as the driver advocate toward internal departments to answer driver questions, and resolve driver concerns.
- Use creative problem-solving and conflict-management techniques to communicate directly with customers and drivers.
- Monitoring key performance indicators: expenses/Financial success; utilization and on-time service; analyzing results, ensuring attainment of objectives, and taking corrective action as necessary.
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30 to 5pm
Work Location: Onsite at our office
Experience needed: 5 years within a transportation operations experience including time leading a team.
