Job Overview As a
Cost/Pricing Analyst on our
Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (AFRCO) team, you will support critical Air Force initiatives. This role provides guidance on cost and pricing issues, ensuring compliance with federal, DoD, and Air Force regulations while assisting in major acquisitions and complex government contracting activities.
Responsibilities
General Duties (All Levels): - Provide expert counsel on cost and pricing matters to procurement personnel, guiding them in compliance with federal and DoD policies.
- Conduct in-depth cost analyses of contract price proposals, ensuring accuracy, reasonableness, and adherence to laws, regulations, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
- Support Contracting Officers in determining sound cost objectives.
- Address complex, high-stakes contract and pricing issues with analytical rigor and judgment.
- Evaluate technical and audit reports, assessing factors such as risk, government assistance, capital investment, and subcontracting.
Level II Responsibilities: - Act as a cost/price analyst on intricate contracting issues, serving as a technical expert in pricing-related matters.
- Participate in specialized teams to address unique pricing challenges, applying extensive contracting and pricing knowledge.
- May handle formal supervisory duties, including team oversight, performance evaluations, and task management.
Level III Responsibilities: - Serve as the primary cost/price analyst on highly complex or sensitive contracts, offering high-level advice and guidance to resolve unprecedented pricing issues.
- Frequently work on high-visibility and mission-critical projects independently, demonstrating comprehensive expertise in pricing and federal contracting regulations.
- Oversee significant acquisitions involving diverse supplies and services, ensuring alignment with government contracting standards and strategic objectives.
- Fulfill supervisory responsibilities, including onboarding, timekeeping, performance assessments, and management of contract staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements - Level II:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience in DoD or industry pricing/contracting, with 1 year in an SAP or SCI environment within the past 5 years.
- Level III:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 10 years of DoD or industry experience, with 2 years in SAP/SCI, including at least 1 year within the past 5 years.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (All Levels) - In-depth knowledge of price and cost analysis, cost realism, government contracting, and CAS regulations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and advanced working knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with classified accounting systems (Momentum preferred).
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and demanding schedules.
- Ability to travel within and outside the U.S. as needed.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and valid driver's license.
- Ability to complete a Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly).
