POSITION: Sr. HR Business Partner
COMPENSATION: Pursuant to Colorado regulations, if this job is performed in Colorado, the salary range is $90,000 - $98,000 plus bonus potential. Eligible to participate in the company benefits plan. REPORTS TO: ER & HR Support Manager
SUMMARY:As the Sr. HR Business Partner is responsible for performing high-level HR duties on a professional level and providing broad expertise, leadership, and support to members of the HR team directly, and to the organization more broadly. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates needs proactively with our HR department to develop integrated solutions.
In addition to the functions inherent to the HRBP position, the Sr. Human Resources Business Partner position is responsible for broader, wide-ranging human resources duties with heightened responsibility and accountability, which includes serving as the immediate manager to the HR Business Partners and the HR Generalist.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to)
- The Sr. HRBP leads the employee relations function and manages the HR Business Partner team in that, and all other areas of HR Support.
- The Sr. HRBP will act as the first point of contact / SME for escalated issues within the HR function, in close collaboration with the HR Manager.
- Program Manager for at least 1 HR program
- The Sr. HRBP will be responsible for serving as a strategic partner in issues of employee relations, staffing, organizational structure, engagement, performance management, succession planning, organizational structure/compensation, training, and any other human capital initiatives.
- Administers various human resource plans and procedures for assigned business groups; assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains the employee handbook and the SOP manual.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and processes.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Maintains assigned company divisions/group organization charts and the team member directory, in collaboration with the ER and HR Support Manager.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations aimed at restoration.
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
- In collaboration with the Internal Talent Specialist, the Sr. HRBP will coordinate HRBP support in the day-to-day performance management / succession planning guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Performs other projects as assigned based on the needs of the business.
- Responsible for ensuring that the HR Team of BPs and Generalist are aware of their priorities and that plans are implemented to ensure they are achieved.
- Responsible for conducting goal planning, 1on1s, and quarterly reviews for all directly reporting Team Members as part of the formal Performance Management process each year.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:- Bachelor's degree required
- PHR / SHRM Certification and/or master's degree Preferred
- 6-8 years' formal HR experience required
- 2-3 years' experience as a Business Partner or equivalent level
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to find innovative solutions to complex and nuanced issues
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, HRIS systems
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills required
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively with multiple teams
- Effective at building and sustaining strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated discretion and judgment dealing with sensitive information
