About the Senior Growth Marketing Manager role:We're looking for an outstanding marketer to join Float, alongside a team that's building the best business finance platform in Canada. You'll join forces with our Growth team on a cross-functional squad focused on driving customer acquisition and activation for the SMB industry in Canada. A deep understanding of the SMB market and an experimental mindset will be crucial for success in this role.
What your week-to-week looks like: - SMB Acquisition Strategy: Working with a cross-functional squad, develop and implement a growth marketing strategy tailored to the SMB segment. Focus on testing and iterating to find quickly scalable and cost-effective opportunities.
- End-to-End Funnel Ownership: Own the customer acquisition funnel for our PLG self-serve motion, from awareness to activation, optimizing each stage to improve conversion rates.
- Marketing Collaboration: Integrate closely with the rest of the marketing team to ensure cohesive customer journeys and strategize on shared channel strategies.
- Content & SEO Strategy: Collaborate with the content team to develop SEO-driven content and landing pages that resonate with SMBs and drive organic acquisition.
- Growth Experiments: Design and run A/B tests and growth experiments across channels (email, ads, landing pages, etc.) to identify the most effective tactics for acquiring SMB customers.
- Referrals and Affiliates: Identify and leverage affiliates and referral marketing opportunities to increase brand exposure and drive SMB acquisition.
- New Channel Testing: Brainstorm, prioritize and methodically test new and creative channels and tactics.
- Data Analysis & Optimization: Track and analyze key growth metrics (traffic, engagement, CVR, activation rates etc) and use data to continuously optimize marketing efforts for maximum impact.
- Marketing Ops: Work within Hubspot and with Revenue Operations and Data Science teams to setup operational workflows that are key for your success.
RequirementsYou'll be great in this role if: - You've got the experience. To be successful in this role, we're looking for 5+ years of experience in growth marketing within a B2B environment focused on PLG motions, ideally with a bachelor's degree (though that's not required).
- You are focused on the impact. You know the why behind the numbers, and what levers to pull to directly affect different KPIs. You can directly measure how your tactics affect acquisition and recognize when to rely on leading or lagging indicators to gauge performance.
- Experimentation is your passion. With lots of experience in experiment and test design, you have a strong opinion on the best way to measure your efforts and live and die by your hypothesis.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity. You know where we need to go, but recognize there won't always be a straight path to get there. You're scrappy and enjoy finding creative ways to work through obstacles.
- You can operate at all levels. You have direct experience operating as a full-stack marketer, leading cross-functional initiatives from ideation to execution. You have a track record of managing stakeholders at all levels, from individual contributors to senior executives.
This role won't be a fit if: - You are not a self-starter and do not like to work independently
- You aren't obsessed with your craft
- You don't like ambiguity
- You don't like regular feedback on your work
- You aren't super passionate about helping Float build the best business finance platform in Canada
- You are uncomfortable with direct feedback
- You prefer stability over change
- You aren't comfortable prioritizing your own to-do list
- You don't like to work remotely or asynchronously
- You don't have a very strong work ethic
- You aren't a team player
- You aren't resilient
- You have an ego
Don't meet every single requirement? If you're excited about this role, and you strongly align with our values but your past experience doesn't align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be the right candidate for this, or other future positions.
