Vector Solutions is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for our Commercial business line which serves 2,000+ organizations today. Vector's SaaS-based training content, learning management systems and safety technology helps mitigate risks, minimize skills gap, and improve productivity. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for go-to-market strategy, messaging/positioning, influence and strategize product roadmap, new product/feature launches, and marketing content to drive sales and support retention. This is a role that sits at the intersection of Sector, Sales, Product, Demand Generation, and Customer Success and is critical to driving our future growth.
What You'll Do - Define go-to-market strategy for specific product lines and industries assigned to the position within the Commercial business unit. You own customer segmentation, penetration, and definition of ideal customer profile (ICP), to inform areas of focus.
- Create, execute, and manage launch plans for product releases and course releases including relevant customer communications, marketing collateral, and sales enablement materials.
- Own definition of key competitive differentiators and value props, and any supporting collateral (e.g. battlecards) to drive higher win rates.
- Produce content marketing assets to support demand generation. Content aligns with the integrated marketing plan and resonates with key buyers and markets. Content includes but is not limited to blogs, infographics, guides, videos, feature sheets, and more.
- Develop plans to improve cross-sell motion and penetration.
- Interview customers and develop case studies.
- Understand industry trends within Commercial, utilize them for marketing campaigns, and share market intel with marketing and sales teams.
- Own buyer personas, including a deep understanding of buying behaviors.
- Own creation and updates to collateral and documentation used in the sales process (e.g. pitch decks, product brochures, etc.). Continuously refine and iterate based on customer and internal feedback.
- Conduct customer research (e.g. win-loss interviews, existing customer check-ins) and synthesize findings to support changes in the go-to-market strategy.
- Provide input to Pricing and Product teams on key changes to pricing and packaging.
- Collaborate with Demand Generation team and product marketing team on campaign messaging, collateral, and execution.
- Support website and event marketing teams to ensure Commercial value-based messaging and positioning is incorporated on our website and at tradeshows.
- Identify and execute targeted marketing programs to improve customer retention, in partnership with Customer Experience organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field
- 3+ years work experience
- 1+ years of experience in product marketing at a SaaS B2B company
- Ability to understand customer needs, pain points, and desires and translate that into winning marketing strategies
- Ability to create compelling presentations and long-form marketing content to be used in marketing campaigns
- Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently
- Ability to create and deliver training and enablement sessions for customer-facing teams, with minimal guidance
- Consistent track record of excellence and driving change to lead to sales growth
- Be a resource to customer-facing teams with an entrepreneurial spirit that enables someone to roll up their sleeves and drive results
- Proven experience driving changes that have led to sales or retention growth
