ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary The Manager of Flight Ops Policy and Procedures paramount responsibility is to evaluate operating procedures and practices. This involves the leadership of Technical Pilots. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in one or more of these areas, as well as expertise and/or experience in pilot training and standardization functions, from a development, delivery, or management perspective.
Job Responsibilities - Responsible for implementation of programs necessary for the continued and improved flight operations. This requires continuous collaboration with other departments such as Safety, Ground Ops, Inflight, Maintenance, and Dispatch.
- Supplemental point of contact with the FAA and other external organizations that may affect PSA's operational procedures.
- Identifies and analyzes operational data for potential safety risks and recommends corrective actions. Performs duties as directed by the Assistant Director of Flight Technical.
- Comply with applicable company policies, procedures and FARs.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the flight department and company.
- Act as liaison between the Flight Ops Technical and other Company departments and alliance partners.
- Works closely with the Fleet Manager to ensure the POH and FOM align.
- Works closely with the Assistant Director of Maintenance Operations Control to ensure alignment with Maintenance and Pilot procedures as it relates to aircraft irregularities.
- Works in cooperation with the Development, Training and Safety Departments, including ASAP and FOQA, to develop and implement corrective action plans.
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Position SpecificsQualifications Required
- High School Education or Equivalent
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- 121 Line Experience
- Previous experience leading a team
- Experience with programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.
Preferred
- Associate's or higher degree
- ATP with CL-65 Type Rating
- PSA Line Experience as a Captain
- One or more of: Sim Instructor/LCA/PCA/APD Experience/Flight Ops Tech Experience
- Experience in pilot training and standardization functions: development, delivery and/or management perspective.
- Experience with FrameMaker
