Here's the scoop - Summary

The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for providing regular reporting and conducting ad-hoc analysis using a wide variety of syndicated data sources, including point-of-sale (POS) and household shopper panel data. The individual will deliver insights to support marketing strategies, track brand performance, and drive data-informed decision-making across both the U.S. and Canadian markets. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, familiarity with syndicated data, and the ability to interpret complex data sets to offer actionable insights.

Reporting to the Director, Consumer Insights, this position will be based out of our Flatirons office located in Louisville, CO.

What a typical day looks like:

Data Reporting:
• Develop and deliver periodic reports on sales performance, market share, and consumer trends using POS and shopper panel data across the U.S. and Canada.
• Create detailed, data-driven dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs), market dynamics, and product trends.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting across all data sets, delivering clear and concise summaries of findings.

Ad-hoc Data Analysis:
• Conduct ad-hoc deep-dives into syndicated data sets (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Numerator) to answer specific business questions and uncover new opportunities across U.S. and Canadian markets.
• Analyze shopper behavior and purchase patterns to inform marketing strategies and promotional effectiveness.
• Provide actionable insights on market trends, competitive performance, and consumer preferences.

Data Management:
• Aggregate, organize, and maintain large data sets from various sources, including POS and household panel data.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through data validation and quality checks.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Partner with marketing, sales, R&I, and finance teams to interpret data and provide recommendations aligned with business goals in the U.S. and Canada.
• Present findings to stakeholders, using data visualization tools to communicate complex data insights in an understandable format.

Trend and Competitor Analysis:
• Monitor industry trends, competitor performance, and consumer behavior changes across both markets to provide strategic recommendations.
• Stay up to date with new data sources, technologies, and methodologies for enhanced data analysis.

What are we looking for?
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a marketing analyst or data analysis role, preferably with exposure to syndicated data (POS, Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, etc.).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI) and familiarity with syndicated data platforms (Nielsen, IRI, Numerator, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
