The Alexander Group's (AGI) is seeking an experienced
Client Development Director?to lead the day-to-day management and coaching of the team responsible for engaging client contacts and nurturing client relationships.
Goals for this team include: - Strengthening existing relationships with senior executives
- Building new relationships with targeted senior executives
- Generating participation in events and research studies
- Distributing relevant AGI insights and content to target contacts
- Creating awareness and credibility with contacts
The core responsibility is managing the day-to-day activities of three teams of individual contributors: - Program Managers responsible for engaging with target contacts through personalized outreach, leveraging all AGI offerings, and generating a consistent flow of quality conversations
- Campaign Managers responsible for recruiting new contacts to participate in campaigns including industry events and free research studies
- Sales & Marketing Coordinators responsible for scheduling sales calls and ongoing re-connect calls for our senior leaders and their clients
Additionally, the
Client Development Director and team members work closely with management consulting leaders who are responsible for achieving the firm's sales goals. AGI's management consulting leaders and Program Managers are organized into specific industry practices. The
Client Development Director ensures consistent contact interaction across these industry practices while supporting consulting strategies.
The
Client Development Director develops performance expectations for the team across critical metrics. As the direct supervisor for the three roles above, the
Client Development Director is responsible for performance management and delivering regular feedback.
The
Client Development Director will create an engagement plan which will be tailored for different contact types, industries, and functional areas and interact closely with our Marketing team.
Success in thisrole requires creativity in client engagement strategy, strong positive motivational capabilities, team building, and excellent organizational skills to manage multiple activities across teams.
This position reports to the firm's Client Management Leader.
Responsibilities: - Leadership of the Client Development process
- Developing client engagement strategy and tactics
- Hiring and onboarding team members
- Motivating the team to achieve goals
- Hands-on coaching of team members
- Monitoring process execution and time management
- Driving continuous improvement in contact management, relationship development
- and campaign recruiting
- Training in key consulting services and marketing offerings
- Engagement with senior clients on issues that drive real change
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 5-10 years of supervisory/team management experience within client development, sales or business development in a consultative, B2B professional services environment
- Experience in management consulting a plus
- Proven track record of success
