Buckner is seeking a
Director of Business Services to join our community at The Stayton by Museum Way by Buckner, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to our residents. In this role, you will oversee all functions of the Business Office, including accounts receivable and payable, staff direction and coordination, and customer service oversight. What you'll do:.
- Review and maintain all accounts receivable and accounts payable for accuracy and retention guidelines.
- Direct timely and accurate billing for all Private Pay, Medicare, and co-insurance amounts.
- Monitor and manage the aging of Private Pay, Medicare, and co-insurance accounts receivables.
- Accurately maintain the active resident financial files and the inactive resident file system.
- Verify patient information and benefits with various insurance providers.
- Accurately oversee resident trust fund ledgers and petty cash.
- Review and reconcile accounts receivable records regularly throughout the month.
- Develop and implement strategies with the Executive Director to enhance profitability and revenue generation.
- Monitor and provide constructive feedback; conduct annual performance evaluations on direct reports.
- Perform general office tasks as required.
What you'll bring:
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum 8 years prior related experience required, as well as a minimum of 5 years prior related experience overseeing the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Proficient working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles and Medicare billing practices.
- Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions dealing with abstract variables.
- A strong sense of diplomacy and demonstrated success in developing strong collaborative relationships.
- Ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner's insurance policy.
- Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds continuously to move objects.
