The work:

The Business Analyst has a track record of delivering high caliber results with high client satisfaction. The Business Analyst must be energetic, communicative, intelligent, passionate, and motivated. The Business Analyst will support program and project stakeholders in developing and grooming a combined prioritized backlog for multiple agile scrum development teams. As such, they must develop an in-depth understanding of the customer's business processes, solution user profiles, objectives, expectations, and priorities and communicate those topics to the development teams in the form of user stories. The successful candidate will have experience in eliciting requirements, identifying process improvements, and developing business process flows and mockups. Superior communication and collaboration skills are essential to this role. Expertise in Jira is desired, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Be an advocate for our customer stakeholders and the ultimate beneficiaries of our solution - our Active Duty servicemembers
  • Own the vision and roadmap of the solution, and be a key player in release planning with the team
  • Maintain the product backlog, with detailed, actionable, and prioritized epics, features, and user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate with the development team to convey goals, answer questions, and accept completed user stories
  • Demonstrate completed user stories and increments to business stakeholders
  • Assist in the decision of when to deploy new functionality to production
  • Assist with business cases

  • Translate and simplify requirements
  • Requirements management, communication, and analysis
  • Develop presentations and project documents
  • Collaborate with project leadership and client stake holders to deliver the project on time, with high quality, and in alignment with the customer's expectations
  • Interact effectively and professionally with clients, stakeholders, partners, sub-contractors, and vendors recognizing as the face of the company in many conversations
  • Develop a keen understanding of program goals and requirements and develop a vision to both meet the customer's current needs, and for evolution of the program to meet changing client needs
  • Anticipate project challenges and risk scenarios and prepare, lead, and execute proactive mitigation strategies to ensure optimal results
  • Escalate key issues and recommend solutions to project and client leadership
  • Ensure targets for contractual performance metrics/SLAs are met or exceeded, and provide analysis and communication to ensure appropriate focus on critical attention areas
  • Identify and execute on opportunities for process improvements
  • Meet individual potential and performance expectations
  • Maintain knowledge of client rules and regulations
  • Understand and comply with SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Ensure compliance with client-driven management and development methodologies/standards including security policies, regulations, and best business practices (i.e., Directive 8500.1 and DoDI 8500.01; Regulations 25-1 and 25-2)

Here's what you need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business discipline
  • 5 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst with demonstrated success in modeling business processes, eliciting requirements, identifying business process improvements, and developing an overall solution vision and roadmap
  • Experience in business analysis and working with technical teams creating business process flows, wireframes, and/or mockups using modeling tools such as Visio
  • Experience analyzing IT business and information environment, activities, and events
  • Experience finding trends, errors and reviewing data with report writing skills
  • Experience with DoD healthcare applications
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain

Preferred skills/experience:
  • Prior Active-Duty Military experience
  • Ability to demonstrate solution features to stakeholders, share knowledge, and provide tool and process guidance
  • Strong creative, analytical, and problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Strong ability to foster collaborative work in dynamic team environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Teams, MS Project, GoToMeeting, and SharePoint
  • A team player and a consistent, dependable performer, with an excellent work ethic, flexible "can-do" attitude, and a results-driven commitment to success

Location: Onsite Ft Detrick, MD

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$62,100-$120,000 USD
