Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThis is an engineering technical lead position includes defining project goals and requirements, developing solution architecture, working with program management to develop the plan and budget for projects. It requires full system knowledge and analytical ability, while working with other experts within the organization to develop highly effective, efficient solutions. Projects include optical inspection and metrology systems using a wide range of optical technologies. Qualifications- The ideal candidate will have strong technical capabilities as well as a pragmatic, results-oriented focus and possess a reputation for getting new products to the market on time, meeting all requirements.
- Strong skills in ideation and brainstorming, prototyping, developing and releasing of complex optical tools
- MS/Ph.D. degree in optical engineering, physics, EE or other relevant disciplines preferred.
- 10+ years' experience in high precision optical or semiconductor capital instruments, or related experience.
- Excellent collaboration skill to develop system level requirements, leading to clear project goals and deliverables.
- Strong evaluation/analytical skills to quickly identify root requirements and causes.
- Experience using MATLAB, LabVIEW and ZEMAX is a plus.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally (up to 10%).
- Knowledge in optical inspection, metrology, spectroscopy, ellipsometry and reflectometry is a plus.
- Ability to independently design and perform design of experiments related to optical instrumentation.
