Job DescriptionThe Opportunity: We are looking for a
Superintendent to join our Remediation team in Port Hope. In this role, you will oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed within budget and on time. You will coordinate contractors, manage staff, and serve as the main point of contact for on-site activities.
This opportunity is to join the WSP team responsible for the execution and construction of the
Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI). The PHAI represents the federal government's response to the community-requested solution for the cleanup and local, long-term, safe management of historic low-level radioactive waste in the municipalities of Port Hope and Clarington.

- You will manage relationships with internal and external clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met, while providing guidance and expertise.
- You will ensure that appropriate background research and analysis are conducted in consultation with relevant government agencies.
- You will conduct botanical field investigations, including Ecological Land Classifications, targeted SAR surveys, SAR habitat assessments, and delineations of wetlands and other features (having your OWES certification would be a significant asset!).
What you'll bring to WSP ... - Experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry
- University Degree/Diploma in Engineering or Business Administration, or a combination of education and industry experience.
- You enjoy fieldwork and like to work autonomously - think the opposite of your standard 9-5 desk job!
- You've got access to a vehicle, a clean Driver's Abstract, and you know your way around the MS Office suite of products.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, practices, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Eligible for CNL Reliability Status (individual must have 3 full years of verifiable current history in Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand and/or Australia).
