Job Description
Objective: The primary objective of this position is to set, schedule, coordinate and supervise the workflow of the marketing department including the production of daily creative and communications content in print and online. As a critical member of the marketing team and under the direction of the Global Brand Managers (GBMs), the Marketing Traffic Manager (MTM) oversees initiates and tracks marketing productions to ensure an optimal cross-functional collaboration within and outside the marketing department. This position helps the GBMs guide a dedicated production team towards a focus on the profitability and long-term viability of the business and brands.

Reporting Structure: This role has responsibility for the creative team including video, graphics and web. The day-to-day creative and strategic direction for each brand will come directly from the GMBs. This structure will ensure that project direction comes directly from the primary stakeholders, the GBMs.

Job Requirements: The primary job requirements are listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed based on the needs of the business.
  • In close collaboration with the GBMs and creative leaders, set and monitor the department's and project calendars to ensure target dates and deadlines are met for both external and internal clients. Coordinate and document marketing productions including deliverables by the graphics, video production, webmasters, tradeshow and copywriters' teams.
  • Work with the creative team to ensure they have the information and tools needed to meet department deadlines.
  • Administer marketing assets, record-keeping, budget reconciliations and vendor invoices. Assist in reviewing and confirming the accuracy of monthly marketing expense reports provided by accounting. Review and reconcile invoices with the respective marketing leader prior to approving the invoices.
  • Proofread print and online publications including e-blasts, press releases, newsletters, catalog ads, and all other collateral materials as needed.
  • Coordinate the traffic of marketing materials to advertisers, printers and other company departments. Assist in negotiating competitive rates and contracts with advertisers. Source and negotiate competitive rates with vendors.
  • Maintain ongoing tally of individual designer hours and reassigning projects based on workload and availability (utilize Wrike).
  • Awareness of the schedules of the design and marketing teams to identify gaps in availability and coverage (utilize Wrike and other communications as needed).
  • Coordinate lead generation process for all North American trade shows. Develop, execute and maintain a process that ensures that leads are quickly and accurately distributed.
  • Develop, execute and maintain a lead generation process for leads generated through Chauvet's websites. The MTM will work with the web team to develop and execute this process.
  • Administer and frequently verify and update marketing databases; maintain and update FTP portals with relevant marketing materials. Organize and oversee the marketing drive. File and update and/or verify the proper filing of productions and assets in the marketing drive.
  • Champion marketing tools such as: Wrike and MailChimp. Ensure that all marketing team members are properly trained in the marketing tools available to them.
  • Monitor all marketing contracts. Develop and maintain a system to alert the relevant stakeholders of pending contract renewals or cancellations.
  • Attending new product commercialization meetings along with GBMs to understand and educate the creative team on the new product pipeline. Work with the GBMs to assign new product commercialization assignments to the team in a timely manner with the appropriate level of detail.
  • Develop and maintaining a system that alerts appropriate stakeholders when new marketing demo samples arrive.
  • Create and enforce a consistent tagging system for news stories on Chauvet sites reflective of brand needs.
  • Monitor industry awards and alert stake holders of award submission deadlines.
  • Scan the environment for high-impact, high-leverage improvement and cross-functional collaboration opportunities. Help develop and implement processes, tools, metrics, initiatives, infrastructure and technologies that support and improve marketing productions and operations.
  • Work in conjunction with the experience team to provide the relevant marketing materials needed to support domestic tradeshows.
  • Provide weekly traffic reports.
  • Assist in the operational and administrative activities for the marketing department. Coordinate marketing meetings, attend designated meetings, keep records and produce reports as needed.


Education and/or Experience:
• 5+ years of marketing experience including (international marketing, channel marketing, brand management or product marketing). Agency experience preferred.
• Requires stellar problem solving and issue resolution skills with the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven work environment, where multitasking while maintaining quality and attention to detail are essential.
• Requires strong analytical and quantitative skills including the ability to use customer research and metrics to back up intuition.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience in marketing technical products.
• Strong analytical and project management skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills in e-mail marketing, lead generation, e-commerce and social media.
• Ability to rapidly develop a keen understanding of the designated market segment.
• Familiarity with entertainment lighting preferred. Knowledge of DMX-controlled lighting is highly desired.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, and/or lift/move up to fifteen pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment but may involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers and other peripherals.
