Business Analyst to support our new Product team. As a Business Analyst on our Product Team, you'll play a key role in understanding business needs and helping to deliver tools that solve real-world challenges. You'll collaborate closely with designers, developers, and stakeholders, ensuring our solutions are innovative and effective.

This role will be part of a newly formed Product Development practice, bridging the capabilities of MNP's Digital and Analytics practices with the knowledge and ideas of MNP's practice leaders.

This opportunity is an in office opportunity based in our Calgary Executive office located downtown Calgary.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Stakeholders:
- Engage with different business units to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Build strong relationships to facilitate open communication and effective problem-solving.
- Translate Requirements into Actionable Plans:
- Work with our design and development teams to turn business needs into user stories and functional specifications.
- Ensure that requirements align with the overall product strategy and business goals.
- Support Backlog Management:
- Help refine the product backlog by adding details to user stories and supporting prioritization based on business needs.
- Be comfortable changing priorities and focusing on the most impactful projects as the business evolves.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT):
- Coordinate and participate in UAT to ensure the final products meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Document test results and collaborate on resolving any issues before launch.
- Contribute to Product Documentation:
- Assist in creating product one-pagers and other documentation that clearly communicate our solutions' value proposition, features, and benefits.
- Provide regular updates on product progress and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Skills and Experience- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience in a relevant role will also be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst ideally within a professional services firm and with product or program management background.
- Experience working to Agile methodologies is required. DevOps experience would be beneficial.
- Proficient in gathering and documenting business requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable tasks and deliverables.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira
- Desire to learn about different industries and challenges is critical, as is a growth mindset and desire to tackle new problems as they arise.
