SUMMARY

The Staff Analyst (SA) position has responsibility for serving as technical experts and consultants to management in major health service areas. The SA will analyze and make recommendations for the effective use of resources, the implementation and improvement of programs and operations, and the refinement of management practices and policies having department-wide impact. The SA position will perform special assignments and projects, as directed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Administrative lead analyst, in the development, implementation, and management of various services.
• Manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of program policies and procedures to ensure compliance with American Disability Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and California State Law Title 15.
• Represents Correctional Health Services- Addiction Medicine Services regarding Substance Use Disorder telehealth related issues and collaborates with Los Angeles County Sheriff Department and Correctional Health Services - Information Technology members of the of the healthcare team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement telehealth services within the START program to provide access to addiction medicine services and support for individuals in correctional facilities.
• Collaborate with correctional facility staff, healthcare providers, and community partners to establish telehealth connections and deliver virtual care to patients.
• Assess the needs of incarcerated individuals and create personalized treatment plans using telehealth services to promote recovery and access to care.
• Monitor patient progress, medication adherence, and participation in virtual support groups and counseling sessions through telehealth platforms.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care, including access to health services, counseling, recovery support, and other necessary resources.
• Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and confidentiality requirements when delivering telehealth services to individuals in correctional facilities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of telehealth services in promoting recovery, reducing recidivism, and improving health outcomes for patients in the START program.
• Provide training and support to correctional staff and healthcare providers on telehealth technology and best practices in delivering virtual care.
• Stay informed about telehealth regulations, guidelines, and advancements to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and data analysis on the impact of telehealth services within the START program and make recommendations for program enhancement and expansion.
• All other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

• Four years of experience in a staff capacity analyzing and making recommendations for the solution of problems of organization/program.

Certificates/Licenses/Clearances

• A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
• Successfully clear the LA County Live Scan process.
• Successfully clear the Health Clearance
• Must comply with LA County Health Officer COVID-19 vaccine order. Must be Fully Vaccinated.
