Avera is currently seeking Physical Therapist-Outpatient (PT) looking to deliver the best possible care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.
Position Highlights:
- Provide treatment to patients as they come for outpatient services in the therapy department.
- Able to work in a variety of areas including acute care, TCU/LTC, swingbed, pediatrics, outpatient adult.
- This position will be working in both Miller and Pierre

Job Summary
- Responsible for administering the application of Physical Therapy treatments through supervision, instruction and actual patient treatment.
- Anatomy, physiology and physical science and their applications to specialized techniques in evaluation and treatment of patients.
- Awareness of relative value and limitations of each piece of equipment.
- Clear understanding of indications and contraindications of various treatment modalities.
Education and/or Experience
- Graduate of CAPTE approved School of Physical Therapy.
- Continuing education program credits are preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Physical Therapy license in the state of South Dakota required.
- BLS Certification required.
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
