Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Monitor and interpret patients' vital signs and respond appropriately
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Provide care and support to patients transitioning from ICUs
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop care plans
  • Perform detailed patient assessments and document findings in medical records
  • Manage intravenous lines and advanced medical equipment
  • Educate patients and their families about post-hospital care and wellness
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care
  • Assist with patient mobility and ensure their comfort
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare regulations

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Experience in cardiology or critical care nursing
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
  • Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing patient care
  • Participation in continuous education and professional development programs
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a step-down or ICU unit
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Excellent clinical and observational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Physical ability to perform essential nursing tasks such as lifting and moving patients
