Under direction and supervision of the surgeon, responsible for providing aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions during surgical procedures. Maintains constant vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field. Models appropriate behavior as exemplified in MLH Mission, Vision and Values.

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required), Technical Degree or Diploma: Surgical Assisting

Work Experience:
Required documented cases as a surgical assistant/surgical first assistant, Surgical technologist

Certifications:
-, BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association, Certified Surgical Assistant - National Commission for the Certification of Surgical Assistants, Certified Surgical First Assistant - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
