The Radiology Technologist - Diagnostic, Surgery, CT at Avera plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality imaging services using advanced technologies. This position involves working in a Level II Trauma Center, where the technologist utilizes CT scans, surgical fluoroscopy, and diagnostic radiography to aid in accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. Candidates must possess an Associate's degree or a certificate from an accredited School of Radiology and hold the ARRT (R) certification, with a preference for ARRT (CT).

 Job Summary

Become a multifaceted imaging professional, contributing to the patient experience through CT, surgical, and diagnostic radiography. Utilize advanced technology to capture high-resolution internal images using CT scans, surgical fluoroscopy, and diagnostic radiography techniques, playing a vital role in accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, demonstrate empathy, and compassion towards patients, and ensure a safe and comfortable imaging experience. Be adaptable and embrace opportunities to cross-train in diverse imaging modalities like CT, and surgical radiography furthering your skills and expertise.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate's degree or a certificate of completion from an accredited School of Radiology is required.

 Certification/Licensure/Registrations

  • ARRT (R) registered required within 60 days of receiving a certificate of completion from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT (CT) registered preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT

  • Signature of NRC Confirmatory Order Communication required.

 Work Schedule

  • 48 hours per 2 weeks
  • Night shift - Night shift differential pay

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. 

  • $26.25 - $39.50 per hour
