Position Overview: We are seeking a full-time, licensed or credentialed veterinary technician / VTS, or an experienced veterinary assistant to join our Oncology team. An oncology technician plays a crucial role in supporting veterinary oncologists and providing care for animals diagnosed with cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Chemotherapy Treatment, administering medications including chemotherapy drugs, as prescribed by the veterinarian
- Diagnostic support, imaging and laboratory
- Collaborate with a team of specialists to deliver the highest level of care
- Help manage appointments and patient flow efficiently
- Ability to provide emotional support to clients during difficult times
Ideal Candidate:
- Licensed or credentialed veterinary technician, VTS, or experienced veterinary assistant
- Enthusiastic about working in specialty medicine
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Excellent communication skills, both with clients and the team, and referring veterinary hospitals
- Proficient with computer systems and comfortable using technology
