Overview:

Neonatal Physician Assistant - US News & World Report-ranked South Florida Children's Hospital

Responsibilities:

Pediatrix Medical Group of Florida, is seeking a full-time experienced Neonatal Physician Assistant to join our respected neonatology practice at Joe DiMaggio Children s Hospital, a U.S. News-ranked children s hospital and the largest NICU in Broward County.

  • Joe DiMaggio NICU has 62 Level-IV NICU beds and 22 Level-II beds; average daily census of 70 and over 5,000 annual births
  • System-wide the two sister NICUs have 36 Level-III beds and an additional 8,000 annual births
  • Robust high-risk perinatal navigation program
  • Full complement of pediatric subspecialists
  • Care of full range of complex neonatal diagnoses
  • On site ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, BPD programs, full range of ventilation modes including HFOV, HFJV, NAVA
  • Variety of shifts including 10-12 hour day shifts and 12-16 hour night shifts
  • Rotations to Memorial West and Memorial Miramar with 24 hour shifts

  • Joe DiMaggio is part of the Memorial Healthcare System, the 4th largest public health system in the country and a quaternary trauma center
  • A 4-story vertical expansion was completed at Joe DiMaggio in 2023, as well as a women s and children s outpatient pavilion in the nearby Miramar facility
  • Memorial Healthcare received institutional ACGME accreditation in August 2015 and welcomed its first class of pediatric residents in 2018
  • The NICU is one of only 11 Regional Perinatal Intensive Care Centers (RPICC) in Florida

Qualifications:
  • Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

  • Minimum of a master s degree

  • Applicants must have completed a Neonatal PA training program or have current PA experience in a Neonatal ICU
