Job Description

The Cardiovascular Unit of the University of Vermont Medical Center and the Department of Medicine of the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont seeks a BC/BE cardiologist. This position will be an Assistant/Associate Professor in the Clinical Scholar Pathway. We are seeking a candidate who is trained in general cardiology and cardiac imaging. We are particularly interested in candidates with an interest or training in the care of patients with advanced heart failure. The position will entail ambulatory and inpatient care of patients requiring cardiovascular care in the University of Vermont Health Network. Clinical effort will be at the University of Vermont Medical Center (UVMMC). Clinical effort will include interpretation of noninvasive studies (including stress tests and echocardiograms), ambulatory clinic, as well as inpatient cardiology care and consultation at UVMMC. Teaching effort (10% effort) will include education of medical students, residents and fellows. Participation in appropriate hospital, departmental or University service activities.
