We are eagerly seeking a skilled Physician to join our dynamic, team-oriented practice. Our supportive colleagues and well-trained clinical and clerical staff go the extra mile for their patients. This position offers a comprehensive outpatient practice with a diverse patient population.
As specialists in pulmonary medicine, we diagnose, treat, and care for patients with various lung diseases and sleep disorders. Our services include the management of asthma, chronic bronchitis, COPD, emphysema, infections like pneumonia and bronchitis, lung masses, nodules, and tumors, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), pulmonary hypertension, and restrictive lung disease.
Highlights:
- 100% outpatient care role
- Full-time providers work 36 patient-facing hours and 4 administrative hours
- Office hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- 4.5-day workweek with one afternoon for administrative work
- Affiliation with Frye & Catawba hospitals
- Call rotation with Internal Medicine: one night per week and every 7th weekend
- Strong community relationships and excellent administrative support
What You’ll Do:
Physicians work to care for patients in a variety of ways, from treating chronic illnesses to advising about preventative healthcare. While physician specialties might vary, the commonality across specialties is that physicians primarily work to diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses. They often do this by performing physical exams, taking medical histories, performing and interpreting diagnostic tests, and recommending a plan of treatment.
Physician Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited medical school as an M.D./D.O.
- Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution.
- Current North Carolina Medical Board Medical License as a current M.D./D.O.
- Board certification in primary care or related field from said residency.
- Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required
