  • 5x8 Days - IR TECH/SPECIAL PROCEDURES
  • This position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, performance of all CT examinations, transportation of patients to and from Imaging Services, preparation of all departmental paperwork, answering the department's telephone, scheduling of patients, entering and retrieving patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS) and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner. The CT technologist must have the knowledge to make quick and highly technical decisions in order to accommodate physical restrictions and pathology. The CT Technologist must be able to resolve conflict and endure the pressures associated with a constantly changing work environment. The CT technologist independently performs advanced level procedures on adults, geriatric, and adolescent age groups and performs patient assessment within the scope of practice. The CT technologist works collaboratively with staff to prioritize and organize schedules and to triage routine and emergent procedures. The technologist actively participates in the training of other Imaging technologists and students.
