Job Description

Role: Senior Product Owner with Field Management Service experience in Telecom

Location: London, ON

Type: Hybrid


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to align feature requests with the product roadmap.
  • Engage with internal customers to analyze needs and define requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a robust backlog of epics and user stories.
  • Define the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to maximize value delivery.
  • Partner with the Business Analysis team to refine user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring clarity for development teams.
  • Assess and prioritize user stories, focusing on delivering maximum business value.
  • Lead sprint planning sessions, set sprint goals, and oversee sprint reviews.
  • Act as the voice of the team, representing stakeholders and users.
  • Monitor progress, resolve product-related issues, and perform trade-off analyses to stay aligned with commitments.
  • Continuously improve Agile methodologies through team collaboration and feedback.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Product Owner or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
  • Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience with database systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL , or similar.
  • Certified Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (preferred). Previous experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, or Software Developer.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) .
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
  • Knowledge of the Field Services domain , tools, and processes.
  • Experience in the Telecommunications industry is an advantage.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders across all levels.
  • Experience in defining requirements and solutions related to operational processes.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
