THE DELIVERABLES
1.1 Background
The Digital, Technology & Security (DT&S) division is organized into four functional groups: Network and Infrastructure, Business Applications, Security, and Business Process and Analytics. These groups collaborate to ensure an efficient and reliable IT environment. DT&S is responsible for maintaining the corporate IT infrastructure and works closely with business units to align people, processes, and technology. The Business Process and Analytics group drives technology innovation and helps transform ideas into actionable solutions. The Project Delivery Office, part of this group, provides expertise in project management, business analysis, and change management to ensure IT and business initiatives are delivered effectively and align with organizational goals.
1.2 Description of Requirements
We are seeking a Business Analyst with a broad technical background to join the DT&S team. The Business Analyst will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance business analysis services by designing future state processes that align with the corporate plan. This role ensures business alignment among subject matter experts, DT&S, senior management, external stakeholders, and vendors using best-practice business analysis methods. Formal Business Analysis training and certifications such as Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or PMI-Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) are considered assets. Proposals should include detailed examples of past business analysis experience, including roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders to understand and align on expected outcomes for key corporate initiatives.
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders.
- Lead facilitation sessions and support business units in developing RFP requirements, strategic planning, and business initiatives.
- Manage and share knowledge of current business process analysis artifacts.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of business practices and goals to promote process improvements.
- Resolve conflicts and address critical issues by developing a common understanding and achieving timely business outcomes.
- Lead process re-engineering efforts, from ideation to development, including documentation, requirements gathering, and validation.
- Identify and implement operational efficiencies to impact business operations and strategies positively.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to the business analyst and project teams.
- Analyze and evaluate business needs to create solutions that align with overall business strategies.
- Advise on vendor and supplier contracts, focusing on operational efficiencies and business outcomes.
- Conduct risk analysis on business operations to mitigate potential risks.
Qualifications:
- North American job experience.
- Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or PMI-Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certification. A copy of the certificate should be included in the proposal.
