RESPONSIBILITIES

\tPositions and immobilizes patient on examining table.
\tAdministers contrast media oral and/or IV contrast in accordance with department policies and procedures, patient history indicators, exam protocols and physician orders and follows through with post exam instructions.
\tEnters data such as type of scan, slice thickness, scan time and other technical data into computer.
\tCommunicates with patient before and during procedure; monitors safety, comfort.
\tViews images of organs or tissue on video display screen to ensure quality of pictures; produces radiographs.
\tPerforms CT equipment QA and maintains required logs.
\tPerforms clerical tasks such as receiving orders, scheduling patients, and recordkeeping.
\tMaintains and cleans work area and equipment; replenishes supplies as needed

Qualifications
Required:

\tARRT
\tIEMA Division of Nuclear Safety
\tBLS through American Heart Association
\t2 to 3 years of undergraduate education or equivalent
\t1 to 3 years experience
\tPhysical Demands Requirement:

\t\t Physical demands required for this role include lift/carry up to 50 pounds and a push/pull force up to 50 pounds

Preferred:

\tARRT registry in CT or MRI - must have working experience and be willing to obtain within 12 months from date of hire.
