This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on surgical experience while providing compassionate care to breast oncology and breast cancer patients.nnResponsibilitiesnnManage the nurse visit schedule.nnPerform suture removal, wound care, and dressing changes.nnAssist surgeons with ultrasound and biopsy procedures.nnGain extensive hands-on surgical experience in the office.nnHelp manage patients in the office alongside medical assistants.nnConduct triage and handle nurse buckets.nnAnswer post-op questions and make post-op calls.nnAssist with radiology biopsies.nnWork within both the office and radiology departments.nnPerform stereotactic or mammogram-guided biopsies.nnSupport the surgeon in various tasks.nnRun patients/assist with procedures 2 ½ days during the week.nnSpend the other 2 ½ days on triage, buckets, and administrative tasks.nnManage approximately 30 patients a day.nnCollaborate with one other nurse and three medical assistants.nnEssential SkillsnnPatient carennElectronic medical records (EMR) proficiencynnCompletion of a Vocational/Technical School/Diploma Program requirednnAssociates degree preferrednnNJ State LPN Nursing LicensennActive BLS certificationnnAdditional Skills & QualificationsnnSurgical experience is a plusnnOutpatient experience is a plusnnPassionate about working within breast oncologynnFlexible with schedule and willing to work on the floornnWork EnvironmentnnThis role is based in Florham Park and involves a consistent 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional extension to 5:30 PM. The schedule is released weekly. Each doctor is required to work six Saturdays throughout the year, typically scheduled early in the year.
