Join our dedicated team in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) as we strive to provide exceptional care to our patients and their families. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse who values teamwork and believes in the power of kindness and active listening.
Compensation: Hourly range of $43.50/hr. - $48.50/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document all care as required by company policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions.
- Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate patients' needs and responses to care.
- Use sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Administer both over-the-counter and prescription medications as per orders.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized care plans for all patients.
- Direct and guide auxiliary personnel while maintaining nursing professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from a professional nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and ability to apply problem-solving techniques to enhance patient care.
