Precision Engineering is in high growth mode and is in need of an experience programmer. In this role you will be supporting both operations and engineering to successfully program punch press and laser equipment. Your main priority will be to support plant operations to ensure quality products are manufactured and shipped on time. This role requires someone with a keen attention to detail, with a team player mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Program our Amada punch presses and lasers to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
- Assist punch and laser operators when necessary.
- Read and analyze CAD files and prints to determine the best method of fabrication and ensure manufacturability.
- Support machine operators to troubleshoot issues.
- Investigate machine settings to increase quality, machine performance, and throughput.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a press brake programmer.
- Able to manipulate, analyze and interpret drawings.
- Amada 3i software highly desirable, strong working knowledge of SolidWorks an absolute must.
- Two + years' experience in a manufacturing type setting.
- Proficient in shop math, including geometry and conversions.
- Must know how to read and operate basic measurement tools (tape measure, protractor, calipers, gages, etc.)
- Ability to successfully work with cross-functional team members such as engineering, programming, scheduling, purchasing, and sales.
