Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet Operations Management:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance fleet performance.
- Manage vehicle inventory to minimize downtime and control costs.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure timely processing of invoices.
- Assess operational needs and recommend strategies for optimal vehicle utilization.
- Vehicle Maintenance and Repair:
- Ensure all vehicles meet manufacturer and regulatory maintenance requirements.
- Schedule and coordinate inspections, repairs, and routine maintenance.
- Monitor vehicle condition, address damages, and cultivate vendor relationships.
- Cost Control and Budgeting:
- Prepare and manage the fleet operations budget, ensuring cost-effective practices.
- Develop strategies to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce fuel expenses.
- Fleet Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain detailed records of fleet performance, licensing, and compliance.
- Generate and analyze reports on maintenance costs, fuel usage, and driver performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and present actionable insights to leadership.
- Team Management:
- Lead and mentor fleet coordinators and supervisors.
- Foster a collaborative and growth-focused team culture.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (startup experience is a plus).
- 5+ years managing a last-mile delivery fleet with 200+ vehicles.
- Proficiency with Excel, Google Suite, and data visualization tools.
- Experience managing multi-site fleet operations and negotiating vendor contracts.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build organizational consensus.
- Flexibility to travel up to 30% and work weekends during peak seasons.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
