Title: Research Scientist, Pre-Pivotal Biologics Development
Duration: 6+months
Location: Foster City, CA
Key Responsibilities:
- Proficiency with CRISPR nuclease screening.
- Experience with NGS library preparation and INDEL calling using Illumina sequencing platforms.
- Lead TLA and long-read sequencing efforts using PacBio and/or Oxford Nanopore technologies.
- Support process improvements for increased speed and efficiency to generate highly productive, high quality, robust cell lines that meet all regulatory requirements with high quality documentation.
- Willing to learn hands-on laboratory operations such as molecular biology, shake flask, bench scale bioreactor and novel culture platforms.
- Contribute to written technical reports, Regulatory filing support, present in group meetings, and work cross-functionally to achieve common goals.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience:
- BS/ MS and 10 years, Ph.D. and 0-2 years of experience in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering).
- Excellent communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills and aptitude for creative problem solving.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Experience in statistics and data analysis (e.g. JMP, Spotfire).
- Experience designing, constructing, and evaluating vectors to express recombinant proteins of various formats.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and adhere to timelines.
- Ability to think critically and demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
