Job Description:

Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for a Director of Global Procurement to add to their growing team. Our client is seeking an individual to be responsible for the development and execution of strategic and tactical initiatives encompassing supplier selection, quality and development, procurement, and logistics across the organization’s global supply chain, facilities and customer base in alignment with corporate goals and objectives as it relates to direct and indirect materials and services to optimize total cost/improve profit.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and implement a culture of cooperation, productivity, and continual improvement by leading and assigning teams with clear expectations to drive team morale, improve personal satisfaction, and responsibility
• Develop ongoing sustainment of a global supplier scorecard to assess supplier value and performance, time delivery, cost reduction, and innovation.
• Support new product introduction by selecting and developing sourcing to meet quality standards, volume projections, cost targets, and delivery expectations that optimizes overall procurement
• Implement continuous improvement systems for suppliers using data records to elevate relations, response time, communication, logistical ease, and quality
• Track supplier changes and lead in reduction initiatives to meet the company’s financial objectives
• Demonstrate and live out in an exemplary fashion the organization’s mission and inspire and encourage others to do likewise. Continuously develop, maintain, and share the basic corporate philosophy designed to ensure all team members achieve their highest potential.
• Represents the company to the public, industry, and government in such a manner which enhances the reputation of the company and presents positivity, and as an exemplary face of the organization

Requirements:

• Degree in business, engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
• Have a successful 10+ year track record as a supply chain leader within a leading, global manufacturing company
• Demonstrate advanced competency in collaborative skills, data analysis, effective decision making, receiving counsel and different input from executive team, and expertise in change-leadership
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced comprehension of supplier quality, development, service contracts, negotiations, and logistics
• Demonstrated the ability to recruit, develop, and retain a talented and effective action-oriented team
• Ability to always present themselves in a manner of integrity, trust, confidence, humility, maturity, and calm in high stress scenarios
• Must comply with legal and corporate responsibilities
• Ability to travel often within the guidance of the corporate travel policy
• Excellent customer service attitude
