Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in optimizing our supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials and finished goods. You will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and logistics partners to maintain smooth operations, meet customer demand, and drive cost efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing overstock.
- Forecast demand and collaborate with production and sales teams to align supply with demand.
Supplier and Vendor Coordination:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor supplier performance and address quality or compliance issues as needed.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, coordinating with 3PL providers and internal teams.
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers, retail partners, and warehouses.
- Optimize transportation routes and methods to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Production Planning:
- Work closely with production teams to align material availability with production schedules.
- Address bottlenecks or inefficiencies to maintain a consistent production flow.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze supply chain metrics, including lead times, order accuracy, and cost efficiency.
- Generate actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations, preferably in the CPG or related industries.
- Familiarity with demand forecasting, inventory management, and supplier relations.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in supply chain management tools and software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar platforms).
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis; knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
