Purchasing Manager – Chemical Process Industry
Salary $100,000 - $120,000 + Benefits + Paid Relocation to the Tennessee USA

Our growing client is seeking a Purchasing Manager for their chemical facility. This Purchasing Manager will be responsible for managing a team that is preparing and processing purchase orders & requisitions for supplies, equipment and materials. You will work with other departments to create effective business plans and will ensure proper supply selection. This will require competitive bidding and negotiating for goods and services.
As the Purchasing Manager, you’ll develop and execute effective strategic sourcing plans, purchase raw and finished materials. Purchases will include MRO such as machinery, equipment, tools, parts, supplies and services for the site. Your team will prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, negotiate, renegotiate and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives. Analyze price proposals, financial reports and other data. You’ll need experience in creating policies and procedures for the bidding proposals and procurement of goods and services. Your team will research, evaluate, and monitor suppliers based on price, quality, selection and service. As the Purchasing Manager, you’ll also be responsible for monitoring shipments to ensures receipt of materials and that they are entered into the system correctly and on-time. You will need experience in Strategic Procurement and Sourcing.
Minimum requirements for this Purchasing Manager role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business or closely related degree required
- At least 5 years’ Strategic Procurement and Sourcing experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- High energy and highly flexible with demonstrated ability to excel
- Hands-on Plant operations experience is a plus
- Experience with SAP.
