Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunities in NY Responsibilities: - Perform assessments on clients with illness, injury, or health-related/psychological concerns.
- Report any significant findings to the appropriate medical provider and guardian, when appropriate.
- Implement the prescribed intervention method.
- Transcribe all information accurately and efficiently and carry out orders for treatment as medically prescribed.
- Administer medication safely, accurately, and per NYS and agency guidelines.
- Monitor for signs of adverse reactions to medications and/or treatments.
- Effectively triage phone calls regarding health-related concerns of youth in care.
- Support other members of the nursing team to ensure quality care is delivered effectively and timely.
- Oversee and supervise care provided by the LPN and other health office staff.
- Provide assessments, monitor, and care for the youth in the event of a physical restraint.
- Administer first-aid during emergency situations and coordinate patient care until EMS arrives or the youth is transported to an emergency department.
Requirements: - Minimum of an Associate’s degree from an accredited Nursing Program and NYS license as a Registered Nurse.
- Adolescent Psych and/or Pediatric Experience is preferred.
- Must have a valid New York State Driver's License and must meet agency driving and insurance standards.
Compensation & Benefits: - Competitive pay
- Up to $6.50 shift differential for nights and weekends.
- Up to $15k sign-on bonus for full-time RNs
- This is a leadership position that shapes the implementation of care standards and builds the team to meet the standard of care.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, plus some on-call duties.
