For more information, please visit SHIFTNo Shift ($0) (United States of America) A BRIEF OVERVIEW The Senior Project Manager, Orchid Lansing & Memphis manages New Product Introductions and other necessary projects for the Orchid Lansing & Orchid Memphis locations to ensure that all objectives of the projects are achieved. He/she reports directly to the Manager, Project Management and works closely with the engineering team and the site quality teams. He/she will also be involved in large multi-site project and program coordination.WHAT YOU WILL DODirects project team(s) to meet objectives of projects that are complex in scope, risk, and/or span multiple Orchid facilities.Organizes and guides project operations including engineering design, subcontracts procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and project closure using Orchid project management methodologies and tools.Actively manages the development and preparation of business cases, cost/benefit analysis, and project budgetsIdentifies and negotiates schedules, milestones, and resources required to meet project objectives; prioritizes project tasks based on capacity, due dates and critical pathsIdentifies key stakeholders and gains their active participation; maintains multi-functional team relationshipsEnsures clear scope and manages scope change, communication, issues and risks to meet project objectivesMaintains and monitors key project deliverables; evaluates and reports progress in terms of quality, financial, and performance metrics to relevant stakeholders and committeesUnderstands the roles and responsibilities of all project team members; coordinates problem resolution and provides direction, leadership and training to project team participantsGenerally has high demands for managerial duties and responsibilitiesMonitors project financial performance to maintain the quality, delivery, and service within the proposed budgetDevelops extensive project management controls for complex projectsProvides performance feedback to the manager of each project team participantActs as the customer’s point of contact and facilitates communication between the customer and the project team to ensure complete customer satisfactionProvides feedback and participates in the continuous improvement of the project management processContributes regularly to the organizational learning and drive the groups’ ability to improveSupports quality and compliance by complying with all Quality Management Systems (QMS) / Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) including documentation requirements and supports plan(s) to meet/exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Quality in the areas of Safety, Compliance, Six Sigma Quality , On-Time Delivery (OTD) and financial objectives EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSBachelor (Required) EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS3+ Years of project leadership, including 1-2 years management of complex projects (Required)4+ Years of Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)Project Management Experience (Preferred) TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS10% Some travel may be required LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONSProject Management Professional (PMP) - Practice Management Institute (PMI) (Preferred) KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ENABLE SUCCESSProblem Solving - Working ExperienceComputer Knowledge - Extensive ExperienceProblem Solving - Extensive ExperienceCommunication - Working ExperienceManaging Multiple Priorities - Extensive ExperienceStrategic Planning - Extensive ExperienceInterdependency Identification - Working ExperienceAccuracy and Attention to Detail - Extensive ExperienceInterpersonal Communication - Working ExperienceProject Management - Extensive Experience PHYSICAL DEMANDSMust be able to remain in a stationary position - FrequentlyMust be able to move about the inside of the building - OccasionallyMust be able to communicate and exchange information with others - ConstantlyMust be able to distinguish and detect information such as writing and defects - Constantly Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
