ResponsibilitiesnnResponsible for starting the patient's care, including nursing assessment, medication reconciliation, safety assessments and implementing standardized protocols.nnAdministers prescribed medications (typically intravenously), obtains blood samples, inserts foley catheters and provides therapeutic interventions.nnEducates patient on how to manage their illness, prescribed medications, nursing interventions, and care plan.nnIdentifies and acts on changes in patient's condition.nnEvaluates and revises care plans/assessments based on changes in patients and/or their environments.nnDocuments all assessments, interventions and care coordination details.nnParticipates in regular, in-service or special case orientations as needed.nnParticipates in on-call rotation.nnPerforms all other duties as assigned.
