Job Description Summary: As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in fostering a compassionate and caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening. You will be recognized as a key contributor to the success of our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement physician orders and administer medications.
- Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, ensuring documentation as per policies.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions thoroughly.
- Evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in managing patient care.
- Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is necessary.
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques with the ability to support quality improvement in patient care.
