Achieve Or Surpass Established Goals
- Work with key stakeholders to crafty, understand and ultimately meet or surpass weekly, monthly and quarterly sales, COGS, labor and profitability goals across both Sandwich Counters
- Help drive sales at the Sandwich Counters by:
- ensuring superior food quality, operational excellence and customer service that creates welcoming and memorable experiences
- offering innovative ideas for maximizing sales
- directing and managing market sales efforts, which may include goal setting, sales training, executing collabs and brand partnerships, and training the team how to upsell menu items
- maintaining a clean storefront at all times, keeping the outdoor dining area clean of debris and food waste
- Help achieve or surpass labor goals by managing the store schedule autonomously and in line with the stated labor budget/goals provided by the company at any given time
- Help achieve or surpass COGS goals by managing all ordering for store as per store needs and within stated COGS budgets/goals provided by the company at any given time, ensuring timely and accurate inventory is done on a monthly basis, overseeing cost control procedures and logs that are in place at any given time, and participating in costing and portioning exercises on new and existing menu items as needed
- Otherwise help ensure profitability goals are met by managing vendor relationships and work orders, and ensuring quality performance within budgets and timelines provided
Ensure Guest Satisfaction & Deliver Superior Food Quality
- Deliver customer satisfaction by working across one or both Sandwich Counters each day/week, actively managing shifts, and ensuring ticket times are managed and food quality standards are followed from the kitchen that all interactions with customers are professional, friendly and solution-oriented
- Managing and working with the Operations Associate/Kitchen Leads to:
- drive excellence and implement and execute SOPs to ensure quality, consistency, customer service and appropriate ticket times with respect to Edith’s standards
- ensure that the FOH is always presentable and giving the highest touch in-store experience possible.
- keep the Sandwich Counters DOH-compliant and ready to be inspected at all times
- manage all team members and ensure their satisfactory performance of their job and their satisfaction with their job
- train all team members on daily SOPs, menu items, Edith’s FOH talking points
- actively manage team members to understand and embody Edith’s culture and values
- assist in creating seasonally-rotating menu specials alongside management to ensure the menu is always fun, delicious and innovative
- identify operational bottlenecks and help build scalable solutions in a fast-paced environment – while keeping quality and customer service top of mind
Associated Day-To-Day Responsibilities
- Draft, set, and manage weekly schedules across both Sandwich Counters, in line with agreed upon goals/plans/objectives with company’s CEO
- Oversee various store-level staffing needs across both Sandwich Counters, including job postings, interviews and hiring, onboarding requirements, training plans, and performance reviews/check-ins
- Run weekly payroll & tip pools with accountants for both Sandwich Counters
- Place various orders for food, beverage, packaging and supplies as needed throughout each week
- Manage and oversee the quality of work and product provided by various vendors (i.e. food suppliers, packaging suppliers, pest control, handymen, hood cleaners, slushie maintenance, etc.) and regularly work with the Company’s CEO to schedule any maintenance & repairs to keep the store in clean condition
- Handle daily issues that come up across the Sandwich Counters, involving the company’s CEO when and as necessary
- Project manage new and key initiatives with stakeholders across the business as they arise
Role Requirements & Compensation
- Hours: You will be expected to work an average of 55 hours each week
- Salary: You will be paid a salary of $85,000 annually
- Bonus Potential: You will be eligible for a quarterly bonus based on performance relative to quarterly goals provided by the company, beginning with performance goals that will be provided to you for Q1’25.
- Vacation/PTO: You will be eligible for 10 days of paid vacation time annually. Paid vacation days must be accrued as per company policy and can only be used beginning 90 days after employment. They do not roll over or get paid out at the end of the year.
