Job Title : Store Manager Reports to: Director of Operations / Owner Expectation for all Federal Donuts & Chicken Employees: Support Federal Donuts’ mission, vision, and values by exhibiting the following behaviors: Excellence and competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, individuality, commitment to the company, accountability and ownership.
Position Summary : The Store Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: ? Leading the day-to-day operations of the store. ? Hiring, training, managing employee relations, and writing the schedule for all store personnel. ? Being held accountable for sales, controllable expenses (including payroll), security of store receipts, inventory control, loss prevention, and store appearance. ? Instilling in every employee a strong desire to deliver superior customer service to all Federal Donuts customers. ? Promotes the Federal Donuts & Chicken name and concept through the development of strong community relationships.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities : 1. Maintains fiscal performance measured as follows: a. Promotes year to year sales growth. b. Achieves sales margins per operating budget guidelines. c. Maintains payroll costs per operating budget guidelines. 2. Enforces compliance with the Federal Donuts Operations Manual: a. Follows and enforces standard opening, closing and check in/out procedures. b. Maintains and submits timely, accurate and complete financial and payroll data. c. Administers employee discount program and informs new employees of this privilege as per the Employee Handbook. d. Provides operations training to all employees on a continual basis. e. Demonstrates and reinforces a strong sense of customer service, satisfaction and retention. f. Follows and enforces proper Point of Sale procedures. 3. Manages retail store workforce: a. Maintains a safe working environment for all employees. Completes in advance an accurate, weekly staffing schedule using accepted company guidelines. b. Selects and hires qualified personnel. c. With appropriate guidance, terminates employees when necessary by following proper company procedures and guidelines. d. Responsible for completing performance appraisals for each store employee on a timely basis and for recommending appropriate employee wage increases. e. Analyzes store staffing requirements; utilizes recruitment resources to meet staffing needs. f. Defines responsibilities, goals and objectives for store employees; gives both positive and negative feedback. g. Motivates and coaches staff; manages difficult situations. 4. Ensures control and protection of food and supply inventories. 5. Maintains and presents a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward job and company. 6. Creates and maintains an organized and efficient management office/work space. 7. Prepares, presents and displays visual merchandising and in-store marketing programs, as directed by Management. 8. Completes all store payroll procedures on a timely basis. 9. Maintains all store fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. 10. Maintains store cleanliness at all times. 11. Communicates clearly with staff regarding company marketing efforts, SOP changes, menu and pricing changes, and all other corporate initiatives. 12. Promotes and develops good community relations by looking for and being involved in community activities and projects.
Qualifications, Skills & Job Requirements: ? Demonstrated leadership ability with at least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing sales setting ? Experience in a restaurant, retail, or other related business. ? Anexcellent command of the English language to effectively communicate with other employees, management and customers. Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus. ? Maintaining and communicating via email. ? Previous experience working with email, POS systems, and ability to learn how to use any relevant technology. ? Ahighlevel of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. ? Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. ? Someanalytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize tasks ? Workrequires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. ? Individuals must be able to stand for extended periods of time, stock shelves by climbing ladders or stairs, lift and move inventory up to 50 lbs., determine colors for merchandise stock and customer assistance, and work regular hours.
