Job Description: Job Summary :We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with Endocrinology expertise to join our multispecialtygroup in pursuit of high-quality patient care to provide full scope Endocrinology services in collaborationwith our physicians.Responsibilities : Review patient’s history, reports and examination results. Perform physical examination. Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis and design individualizedtreatment plan. Evaluate and diagnose patients with a variety of hormonal diseases and conditions related to theendocrine systems. Provide appropriate treatment and patient care. Provide comprehensive cost-effective diabetes care with available support of CDE(CertifiedDiabetes Educator)/RD (Registered Dietitian) services. Recommend suitable management for the patient, including but not limited to, preventive healthrecommendations and habits. Prescribe medications in accordance with New York State and federal law and formulate ongoingtreatment and disease management plans. Maintain complete and accurate medical records. Provide relationship-centered care, taking into account the patient’s psychosocial and physicalneeds. Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care. Perform other job-related duties as required. Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.The Ideal Candidate : One to three years of endocrinology clinical experience in an outpatient setting. Ability to diagnose and treat a wide variety of endocrinology conditions with a focus on improvingpatient outcomes. Demonstrate competency in diagnosis and treatment to assure high standards of patient care andsafety are maintained. Patient-centered approach toward a positive patient experience. Excellent communication skills. Interest in Population Health Management.Qualifications : Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner education program registered by the New York State EducationDepartment. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a New York State approved accrediting body –American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners(AANP). Must possess current, unrestricted New York State Registered Nurse license. Seeking experienced clinicians with Endocrinology or Diabetes treatment outpatient experience–Two to three years strongly preferred. Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration. Must possess active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll. BLS or ACLS certification required. Must possess strong communication skills both oral and written.
